After an unidentified person, allegedly a skinhead, stabbed the police
chief of Passau, Mr Mannichl, politics and media are in full debate
about the dangers from the political far right, about better protection
for policemen. One day later another policeman is stabbed by a young
turk in Berlin. No uproar. No discussion in politics and media that was
comparable to the Passau case about the dangers of violence coming from
numerous young turks who make the streets unsafe for citizens and
policemen alike. They often are underway in groups of 10, 30, 50
persons and are thus representing an accumulation of muscle power,
fighting and destruction potential that challenges any police force.
But the tin god multiculturalism must not be put into question, with
punishment of being denounced as a fascist or nazi or rightist. Thus
far more intense the Passau discussion moves on. There is no deficit of
examples for double standards these days in German society. Balloon:
Attention, Mr cub reporter. Nobody here wants to hear anything about
turks stabbing policemen in Berlin! -- Caption: Here, it's all about
